Galentine’s Day is celebrated on February 13th and is all about honoring the friendships in your life—especially the strong, supportive girl squad who always shows up for you. Whether it’s your BFF, your teammate, or your entire friend group, it’s a day to say, “I appreciate you!”

Here are a few fun, easy ways to make your friends feel the love:

Host a Mini Photoshoot Party
Grab your phones or cameras, throw on your favorite pink outfits, and have a little fun capturing each other’s beauty and personality!

Have everyone write one kind thing about each person in the group—then read them out loud or save them for a little pick-me-up later.
DIY Valentine Gift Exchange
Think scrunchies, cute notepads, lip glosses—just a few fun little things that say, “You matter.”

Why It Matters

As a photographer and someone who works with high school girls often, I see every day how much friendships shape our confidence and our experience in these formative years. Galentine’s Day is a fun excuse to pause and appreciate those people who truly see you. And trust me—when you look back at these photos, you’ll be so glad you captured this time.
